Word From Our Pastor

Welcome to First Baptist Church Clifton!

My family and I are truly blessed to be a part of what God is doing at FBC Clifton. In early 2024, I came to serve as a supply preacher while the church was without a pastor. After filling in several times, the leadership approached me about serving as Interim Pastor. Believing God was leading in that direction, I stepped into that role in March 2024.

Throughout that year, I sensed the Lord opening doors for me to serve as the full-time, bi-vocational pastor. In November, after prayer and confirmation from both the Lord and my wife, I knew it was time to move forward. In December 2025, FBC Clifton voted to call me as pastor, and my family and I are deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve this church.

FBC Clifton has a rich history, and my desire is to embrace that heritage, learn from it, and build upon it as we reach Clifton, Wayne County, Tennessee, and beyond with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. At the heart of everything we do is a simple goal: to honor God and to reach the lost for Christ.

Would you come and see what God is doing at FBC Clifton? We would love to have you join us!

What We Believe

At First Baptist Church Clifton, we affirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
We believe that salvation in Jesus Christ is the most important decision any person will ever make. As stated in article IV of the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer. In its broadest sense salvation includes regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.
If you have never received salvation that is found in Jesus alone, we would love to share with you more about that. Our contact information is at the bottom of the page.
